The owner's manual says to start with 2 qts. I put in a little over11/2 qts. and it is right at the maximum. Glad I checked before I added any more. I checked it in my garage so I know the surface is level. What is the capacity of an X500?

2 quarts for the engine. The John Deere manual says 2.1 quarts. Do you have an oil cooler added?
