I purchased an X320 with 48" deck with mulching added. I mowed the yard today for the first time. The results were very good. I do have a question. With the blades engaged there is a noise coming from the deck while mowing which seems not to be natural and the steering seems harder than on my GT225 I had prior to this mower. Are these normal with this model?

I have a 2012 X300 and don't notice anything different. As for the ease of steering, mine steers so easy that if you were used to the HD Lowes mowers, you'd think it had power steering. Sounds like you may need to contact the dealer.
