Does anyone have knowledge of replacing the pull rope on this weird walk behind trimmer? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to tell you that there is no simple way to do it. You need to disassemble the lower end of the unit to get to the starter pulley. By lower end, I mean where the shaft enters the engine cover.

Thanks Lawn King. Looks kind of intimidating, but hey I'm not scared.

Shouldn't be too bad.

Remove the main shaft first (to the power head), then follow the parts diagram: https://www.jackssmallengines.com/j...r/poulan/weed-eater/wt3100-gas-trimmer/engine removing the clutch, etc.

You shouldn't have to remove the return spring from the housing. Should be a notch so you can pre-load the pull cable once you start to re-assemble..

Similar to this (I think was a TroyBilt, forgot):
