White Outdoor 30"+ Walk Behind?

Newbie here but need some quick help. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of info so hopefully something rings a bell with one of the experts here.

My friend recently bought a riding mower but I caught a glimpse of what he was using before. It's one of those big walk-behind mowers with the approx 30" (or so) deck. I asked him about it later and he said it was called White Outdoor and has a Briggs & Stratton engine.

I have a nice older 21" Honda but I'm thinking this other thing would cut my mowing time way down. He said it works great, $200. I see new mowers like this in the $1200-$1400 range. They're other brands though. I can't find anything about White Outdoor making a mower like this (old reviews, manual ... nothing). Does anybody here know what this is and can you recommend this style and this brand?

Thanks.

Sounds like it might be a good investment, but I would try it out first. If you can post the model numbers for both the unit and the engine, we could give you more detailed info.

Should be manuals available through MTD. I have not seen this mower but it is more than likely a clone of all the other MTD brands. Unless it is very old anyways.

Tried it out last night, it's a beast. Either 28" or 30" but I forgot to copy down the model #. I'll bring it home either this weekend or next and will post some pics and specs.

I finally got it on Friday though I haven't used it to do any actual mowing yet. It says 933 R on the handle but I'm still not finding much info about it online.

This looks like it must be the manual for it: http://lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/white_outdoor/933r.html
