I'm installing a Briggs & Stratton 33R877-0003-G1 19 HP Intek 9 Amp Tri-circuit extended life series engine in 1997 riding mower. Ready to go except for wiring. The 6 pin connector has 4 wires, a Gray(afterfire solenoid); Black(kill); Red (?); Orange(?) I need to verify that Red is charging and that the Orange is for lights. I have the B&S alternator guide, but didn't help me.
Many thanks

go to Document Moved type your model and type in and download you manuel it might be in there:smile:
Are the wires you are talking about coming from the engine? Is this the manual you have? Page 3 helps to identify the charging wire. http://www.briggsandstratton.com/~/...gsAndStratton/PDFs/alternator_replacement.pdf
If you are talking about the wires connected to the unit, the best way to identify where they go, is the old fashion trace the colors with an OHM meter.
