Would anyone know if the wheels/rims are common or are they specific for grasshopper? I have a 616. Thanks

Wow. You have a Grasshopper? I haven't seen those in a long time. They're ugly looking but boy do they work good.

For the drive wheels, you need 21x11.00x8 bar tread or 20x8.00x8 turf tread.

For the rear wheel, you need 13x6.50x6 rib tread. Keep in mind that they pneumatic tires.

I have a 729 grasshopper and need to buy 2 new bar thread tires. where is the best to buy them ?

I found good prices at ( mymowerparts.com ) theres a lot of places for tires but be aware of the PLY rating and MOST of all ..... shipping costs , if ya order on-line . Best of luck ........ Boobala ...:thumbsup:

The best place I've found for tires is Ebay. I bought 2 last year for $134 & free shipping. Make sure you get the 10 wheel - not the 8" for your 729.
