Described as Kubota HST 1400 Lawn Tractor–1996:

Kubota LT 14 hp
40" cut in great condition
1996 model last year made!
Has Twin bagger system!
New tranny belt $1250
I would say it is over priced. At 25+ years old going price for that model is $400-$600 Bagger would only add about $100. They were a great unit in its day, but I would only pay a max of $600, knowing that it may come back to bite me.

In comparison, what else have you found that is comparable for $ 1250?
This may indeed be too high, but as a rule I will always ratner have a good used older model, than the newer stuff they put out now. I have a G2000 with a 60” deck, and a F2560 with a 72” deck. Both about 25 yrs old. Just comparing the decks alone to newer decks is impressive.
Look it over . If it has been properly cared for , and used on a residence , with the bagging system . I would say it is worth haggling with the seller . You didn't mention if it has an hour meter or not . If it does , I'd want it to be 500 Hrs. or less . They are easily a 1,000 to 1500 Hr. machine , with proper maintainence , and use !

Many parts are no longer available for the T1400. I would pass on it. If you just have to have it, $100 tops knowing you'll have a hard time getting repair parts for it.
