I'm attaching some better photos for help in figuring out what part is missing from the rear of my mower. Please help. It isn't running very well. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

It appears that the photos are upside down.

carol, Post the model/engine nubers so someone can direct you to the factory parts drawings to check what should be there.

Okay, I will but I have examined the illustrated parts thoroughly. I also don't know what part is missing. I just know that something used to be attached to the shiny silver part.

Where the silver lever is looks about right for the throttle stop bolt and nut. Used to set the top speed position.

Start with mower serial number makes thigs easier to check against parts diagrams.
Most Arins parts breakdowns are available from their web site
Rotating the photos then reposting them would make things easier.

Has it caused the mower to act differently? See if these help. Good find rivets.

Looking at the first figure (5-37) it appears the machine is missing the choke cable from choke control lever 1 and the throttle control cable from throttle control lever 2. Additionally a couple of levers look screwed up and it appears you're missing both the kill switch and kill switch adjustment screw.

Kill switch & it's adjustment screw would be for walk behind mowers.
Ride ons have the kill switched wired into the ignition switch

Ok Thanks. I was wondering why I was seeing discrepancies between pics, drawings, etc.
