What is comperable to an LX277

I have an LX277 that is 13 or 14 years old and it is now nickle and diming me to death. I don't do any work on it myself so anything that breaks means a trip to the JD dealer. The LX277 has been a workhorse for all these years and I want to replace it with something that will last as long, or longer, and work as hard. It has close to 1,000 hours on it.

I mow 2 to 2-1/2 acres every week and my property is covered in trees and not even remotely flat. There are slight hills with lots of pot holes and ruts. There is only 1 place I need to mow that is steep which is around my stock pond, which I usually mow horizontally. A lot of the grass is Bermuda but even more of it is Bahia which really eats my blades and is a pain in the butt to keep under control. I don't use attachments except occasionally pull a trailer.

I've read a lot on the various models but I'm still not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated :confused2:

You will want to purchase a GT (Garden Tractor) style of mower. Look for a mower with 23" tall or taller back tires. Price range will be $3000.00 or higher.

Thanks BlazNT, but I have already been looking for that general description. I'm looking for Series / Model numbers to narrow it down for me. I believe I want something in the 500 or 700 Series but not sure.

The LX277 is a lawn tractor more comparable to the current X300 series. With that being said I would step up to a X500 or bigger. The X500 will be nothing but an improvement over the LX277 and will hold up to the conditions you describe.
