So, a recent debate has come up. What kind of chainsaw would YOU guys buy? I love husqvarna but people are saying that they are the same as poulan and craftsman. I know a bunch of you will say stihl and husqvarnas are the best, but what would you buy? and please explain.

I don't know that much about chainsaws, but if I was to buy one, I would either buy a Stihl or Echo. Stihl because, well, they are the best in the world in a lot of people's opinions, and Echo because I have used Echo equipment before and trust it. It would probably depend on my budget.
:thumbsup:echo.jpg stihl.jpg:thumbsup:

Personally I would go with a Stijl, because my family's used them, I know a to of pros who use them, and they have a huge reputation behind them.

Would depend on how much and for what you were going to use it for. Those cheapo Stihl home owner saws are ok for trimming up a bit or some clean up after a storm. For heavy use around here the grounds keeper types use either Stihl or Tanaka or both.

Are the Expensive?
Tanaka Commercial grade gas Powered Rear Handle Chain Saw 20-Inch Bar and Chain 50cc 3.6 HP 2-Stroke (CARB Compliant) ECV-5601/20 is $641.32 at Amazon, but it has free shipping

Are they really that expensive, not really. If you check some of the Stihl prices you'll find there commercial grades saws are the same prices and more. It just depends on what grade you buy.

husquarna by far, I own both saws Husquarna and Stihl and the husky will cut much faster then the Stihl. Both my saws have a 16in bar. It just seems a better saw between the two saws and give less problims. My neigbor buys Stihl and goes through one a year and I have has my husky for years now and my saw still out cuts his when I cut wood with him. He allso uses a 20in bar where I like the 16in better. never had or tryed a Echo
