Hi guys, can anyone tell me what the correct idle and maximum rpm should be for a 10.5 I/C engine?

Year approx 1998 and Engine ID is: Model 28B707, Type 0146-01, Code 970318ZB and the carb is a Walbro LMT 5-4993.

Thanks

A lot will depend on the type of equipment the engine is used on. Ball park figures are 1400-1800 for idle and 3200-3600 for high speed. Again these are ball park, some units go as low as 1200 and as high as 3800. Hope this helps.

It's being used on a 1998 Castel Garden F72 ride-on which is approx a 28" cut.

Not familiar with that piece of equipment, but being a type of lawn tractor, I would set idle at 1400 and governed top speed at 3200. This is based on past experience, not coming from a manufacturer. Some one may prove me wrong.
