M Mharnisch Member Apr 14, 2020 #11 Update. Good news. Used the mower today and it ran perfectly for the entire 1 1/2 hours. Never surged at all when I disengaged the blades. Must have dislodged something the first time after sitting all winter. Thanks guys for your suggestions.
