I bought a LTX 1045 less than a year ago. From day one, it always had a hard time cranking over, like the battery was weak. A few days ago, It slowly cranked over and stated the last time I used it. I shut it off to go get a beer half way through cutting the grass, came back and turned the key and, click, wouldn't turn over. Put the charger on it, charged it up, and it unwillingly started. Finished the grass, took it and put a full charge on it and it slowly craked over and started. I used this mower about 7 times so far. I find it hard to believe that the battery would be shot allready. ANY ideas out there?

Check all the cable connections,
check the voltage with the engine running at normal mowing speed, (may be charging low OR high)...
You can also have the battery load checked, (almost any place that sells battery's can do it).
You can also get an inductive amp meter that will let you see the current your starter is drawing... :smile:KennyV:smile:
