I am trying to find a voltage regulator for my riding mower. I have a Briggs 13.5hp ic engine. I have added photos of regulator with plugs. Finding the plug is the hard bit. I have added a pic, but I'm not going to pay $50 for it. Otherwise I'll just rig up my own. I have tried a regulator from a 17hp engine and it works fine. If you have seen these parts, please let me know. They are rare.
Looks like a typical low Amp output regulator used on many older models without the electric PTO clutch option. A high Amp output regulator cannot be used in it's place.
Google "Voltage Regulator Briggs" then "images". Pick one of the hundreds that come up that best fit. You may have to use a splice connection if the leads are not perfect. There are many variations on these and many are under $20. You may even find the exact one. Without the engine number and serial number we can't help you further. Sorry.

Guys I think he is complaining about the cost for the interconnect harness.
No wonder I make up or repair harnesses here. They are over price in the US too. And I have the necessary tools. Since you should just be putting it together then you only need a good open barrel crimpers and a pair of wire cutters.
Made up with AMP Mate and Lock components. List to make the interconnect harness.
1 EA 1-480349-2 Single Position Housing Red
1 EA 1-480319-0 Two Position Housing Natural
2 EA 60620-1 Pin Terminal 20-14 awg
1 EA 60619-1 Socket Terminal 20-14 awg
And course the necessary lengths of 16 awg wire.
Costs about $1.50 USD for parts from Mouser not counting the wire. Shipping is not included in price. But Briggs is still making a killing on the harness.
A new regulator is a give me. Otherwords it needs to be added. But there are after markets for it. Just not for the interconnect harness.
