Have a Briggs 25E300 EFI/ETc on a Landmaster L4 UTV side by side. Dealer I bought it from is no longer in business and can't find another dealer in the state of Iowa. Bought it new in Dec. 2023. Only 50 hrs on it but lately it's started to put out blue smoke from exhuast when going up hills, then when on level again it is OK. It has done it 3 times now and I can't find anyone to work on it. Are there any suggestions on what it might be, seems to me is overloading with fuel.
Thanks

My first thought would be head gasket. But also wouldn't overlook a possible valve cover gasket leaking onto the exhaust. Make sure the oil level is correct and not overfilled and/or smells like gas. Blue normally means burning oil. Gas would give you black smoke.

Put a for sale sign on this one and look for a lightly used Kawasaki Mule. These new B&S "Big Block" EFI engines are plagued with problems and no shops are training their people to work on them.

Blue smoke is an oil getting into the combustion chamber issue.

Doesn't appear to be any dealers in Iowa that have both Landmaster and Briggs status. I wish I was closer since I am Landmaster service center and Briggs dealer.

It used to be any shop that was Briggs and Stratton certified could perform warranty repairs, now very few shops keep up with continued certifications and the dealers are only interested in selling in new products.

When I was a service manager for a local John Deere dealership, basic certification was a matter of watching a couple "canned" videos via their special internet authorization link. No hands on, and diagnostics became a parts swap guessing game for most techs.

The only requirement for sales of the product was to be able to demo and have a minimum of one "certified" tech employed in the shop.

We also performed a lot of (fun) aftermarket equipment warranty repairs for Tractor Supply, Lowe's and Home Depot. They were always the most difficult to get approval for. It was always a fight to get diagnostic time and then they would hack away at the repair times. I miss the customers, but I don't miss the warranty headaches.
