I have several agriculture grain augers, with Vanguard 35hp twin series 613400 and Kohler CH940 engines. Both, have carbs with non-replaceable needle valve seats. Also, the Vanguard needle valve is listed at ~$35, while the Kohler needle valve is similar. Find it hard to believe that there are not other cheaper models with more affordable needle valves. This seems ridiculous for what it is. Local dealers in Canada want over $40, and finding cheaper ones on the net but once you add shipping they are really expensive.
The reason I'm looking is because these engines, are getting fuel/oil contamination in the crankcase.
Any thoughts or ideas for be appreciated.

If i found the correct engine model, the part number is 809759 needle, for the Vanguard, Parts tree shows ONE in stock, others show No Longer Available.
The reason the seat is not replaceable is because the needle has a Viton tip, so no need for a rubber seat.

What in the heck is wrong with Briggs? They are not even supporting the larger older engines.

I reckon the bankruptcy is really kicking in now.

Because the suppliers got shafted and will not supply unless paid in advance or not supply at all .
So B & S looked at the economics of buying 10,000 needles which would take 15 years to sell & decided to invest the money in the battery plant .
They did the same thing down here pushing the prices of all of the Power Torque to an uneconomic level
Magnetos are $70 WHOLESALE so perfectly good engines with no spark are trashed.
Funny enough we used to fit Victa coils to BSA Bantam engines because the Victa coils were 1/4 of the BSA price
Now we fit Bantam coils to Victas then retrofit the old external trigger units
