have vanguard series engine model 12H332-0114-B8.little plastic bowl on fuel shutoff valve on side of carburetor cracked leaks.b/s no longer has p/n698549 but they do have $65 carb with same $4 problematic bowl.really?anybody know of a carb that will work other than their carb?totally unbelieveable thanks for any help in this matter b/s doesn't seem to care .lef vac has less than 5hrs time would like to get it running without getting gouged by b/s
If it has a Japanese Carb then the bowl from Honda stationary engine will fit as it will be metric.
If it has an American carb then the bowl from a Villiers stationary engine will fit as it is imperial.
It is only a sediment trap in any case so you can plug off the cap .
Honda will come from a Honda Shop , Villiers from a Farm supplies shop.
The same sediment bowl is used on the 716111 fuel tap which is still available.
I am fairly sure it is a metric thread as I bought a dozen of the taps from Hong Kong as my local wholesalers did not carry them.
They were Vanguard parts, from Vanguard Japan so you might do better dropping a line to Vanguard which while owned by Briggs trades totally independently .
Part number for the bowl is 710070 & the O ring is 710072
