Upgrade alternator on Kaw FR691V?

Hey guys,

I have an Ariens IKO00N X mower with a FR691V engine. I understand that the alternator output is only 3.6A. Is it possible to upgrade it to 20-25A by installing an alternator from another Kaw engine.

Please assist/advise.....

You will most likely need to upgrade the recti frier as well so take that off the donor engine as well.

I'm not sure this is really feasible from a financial point of view......I'll see if I can locate a likely used candidate donor and if it looks like it might work, I may try it.....
