The Kawasaki liquid-cooled engine is premium. Taken care of, it will give you thousands of hours of service. If this beast has only 500 hours on it, it's just getting broken in. You do need to pay attention to the radiator debris screen and clean it daily, but other than that, a liquid-cooled engine, like in your car, maintains a stable temperature, doesn't clog up debris and will typically outlast a comparable air-cooled engine.
