Troy bilt ZTR hydrostatic motor

First post here, nice forum. I bought a 2007 Troy Bilt 50 inch RZT Mustang mower. I am happy with the buy I did. It has 160 hours and was garage kept, I paid $800. It was not maintained and as I go through it I find that the drive motors are extremely expensive and sealed!

The drive motors are working well and do not need to be replaced at this time. My question would be is there anyway to rebuild these motors? Is there anyone that rebuilds them or any cheap alternatives to buying new from a dealer??

I have searched all over the net and find nothing on this, any link's?

Are these motors bullet proof and I am worried about nothing or would selling this machine now while it is looking and running good my best option?

I do not plan on using this commercially, I cut a half acre lot with tree's and lots of turning once a week.

I am not surprised that it has non_rebuildable hydo's, the mower only costs $2800 or so new. That being said, unless you have a problem now... I would not worry about it. My snapper went 15 years w/o need of repair of the hydros! When I finally replaced it due to the engine, the hydros whined a little but worked just fine. (eaton 7800's)
