Troy Bilt Turf hubs/Tire modification?

Have a 33" Troy Bilt Wide Cut Mower (walk behind). The wheels are slotted key attachment to the transaxle. Wheels are 8 inch, with 15x4 tires.

My problem is furrows in the lawn due to narrow tire tread, and some mushy turf i cannot completely control. Is there an easy way to retrofit wider wheel hubs/tires onto this walk behind mower's drive wheels without clearance problems at wheel hubs and/or damage to bearings, etc?

In short, I'd like to retrofit the mower with wider turf tires on keyed hubs, and wonder if somebody has done this before. any luck with correct size golf cart tires as a substitute with/without keyed hubs?

Thanks.

You mean like the cub cadet snow blower with dully rear wheels - just two long bolts holding both tires together .

Thanks for the response, Sonofa.

I was thinking either way-----either a resource to find wider hubs (TroyBilt only carries stock replacements at high price). If some after market recessed bearing hub/tire combo will fit on axle stub, that would be optimum. If impractical, i would go the way of the "duelys". I guess i supposed that one wide tire on each side would make things easier on the lawn (avoiding FOUR furrows during one pass)

I have no restrictions for overall width. I just need to spread the side to side mower weight to give my often soggy turf a chance.

Thanks for any additional input !
