transmission problem

have a cub cadet ultima zt1 model 17aieacz010 serial number 1e239h50318. the left transmission does not have the same power as the right one, owner says left transmission will get hot, but the right does not. owner mows on steep hills and the mower has a form of farm tractor tires on it. belt is good and has good tension on it. looking for any suggestion as to what could be the problem and the fix.

Two things to check right off the bat. Is the fan intact and is the oil level as it should be. And with the overheating the oil is probably degraded by now so transaxle will not the power it once had.
