Get the correct switch.
They are not that expensive.
You should be able to get an aftermarket one as well.
Take the old one with you when you go to get the new one.
If you cross wire voltage to the magneto you will fry it $$$$$$$.
If the ground wire is missing you will not be able to stop it.
