I've had this machine for 15 years now. It came with a set of high lift blades. I've replaced them once and remember having a really hard time finding them. The blades on the parts list are medium. This time around, I'm having an even harder time but managed to find a set that I think might work but they are a little different. The originals were just flat stock and utilized a blade stiffener. The new ones are stamped in a way that appears to provide stiffness. If I continue to use the stiffener, it will only be making contact with the outer edges because of the rolled edges of the new blade. Do I eliminate the stiffener? My other concern is the bolts bottoming out on me. These mount with one bolt through a round hole in the blade. No star mount or anything like that.
Please post the part number for the original toro blades. It will be stamped on the blade. I’m wondering if it might be 110-6568-03 which is a medium lift blade.
I'll have to get under to look but when I search that number, it sure does look like them. Are you sure that's a medium? I thought 106-2247-03 was the medium.
#106-2247-03 has an air lift of 1-3/16” medium
#110-6568-03 has an air lift of 1-1/4” high
Will probably have to remove the blade to check the numbers.
Thank you for informing me that the part number is stamped on the blade. As embarrassed as I am to say, I did not realize that. The above number is the number on the blades I have, which are identical to the original. Quick question though, what does the second set of numbers with the "w" signify? When I search the internet for the 106-8744, I find a blade that looks just like the one I have but with the number 106-8744-03. But there is no "03" on the blade I have. What does the "03" mean? Is it important? And what does the "w53860" mean? Thanks very much for your help.
