Mower worked well, changed the Air Filter, installed new carburetor gasket, now it won't start. The only other thing that was done was pulling out the Red Bulb used to prime the gas, inspected and re-installed. Pulling the starter cord the only thing that happens in once in a while there will be one short Pop as if were going to start but nothing.
I'd say you messed up the primer bulb maybe got it in wrong and isn't sealing. If you put a shot of ether, starting fluid, in the carb it will start without the primer bulb being used.

The bulb was removed to check for cracks and it was found to be in good condition. It was reinstalled and clipped back into it's normal position. When pushing compression can be felt, which makes me feel that it is functioning properly. But a new bulb is easy to install and I'll give that a try.
Tried one more thing, sprayed stater fluid directly into the carburetor, twice. Each time several pulls and only one time did the mower respond with on pop, leaving a black exhaust mark on the air filter. Pulled the spark plug and it was totally black. Blacker then other spark plugs I have seen on cars or mowers. Cleaned plug. Did try to start again, got the same results. this was all yesterday.
Today, tried again, sprayed starter fluid into the carburetor, after several pulls the system popped with exhaust coming out or the carburetor, plus, there was a pull back on the stater rope.
