I know a thing or two about my mower but that is it. I am on the 3rd carb since I bought it 3 years ago. The problem I am having this year is that it will start after priming 5 times or so and run for about 5 seconds until it dies. I have tried it all from disassembling/reassemble. Cleaned out the carb w/ carb cleaner. Cleaned out the bolt on the bottom of the carb. I was able to get it up and running last weekend after about 15 times of priming/starting (rinse and repeat.) I don't know what else to do. I swapped the current carb out w/ an old one I have and am getting the same problem. I am guessing maybe an air leak somewhere but I don't know where to look for that. I have tried to start it without the air filter as well as without the gas cap to rule those things out.
I recently replaced the linkage. I lost the old one and ordered a new one that came in this week. Maybe that will help someone out.
