When I start it it runs fast for a few seconds, then the idle goes way down and almost dies, then increases back to high speed...............it continues this cycle and the more it warms up the less it drops idle. But the engine speed never stabalizes to an even rpm.
I have last years gas in it that was treated with StaBilt and new air filter and new spark plug.
This mower is only 4 years old................what else do I need to check?

The low speed circuit is plugged inside the carburetor. Remove and clean the carburetor.
