To Pam or not to Pam!

I hear it is a good idea to spray the bottom of a new HRX with Pam. Is this true or not? If Fluid Film better?

In my opinion, save your Pam for making a large batch of Jambaliya or Shrimp Crehoe. (Sorry about the spelling). When you finish using, tip the unit with the carb up, scrap bottom with a heavy duty plastic putty knife and you'll be set for the next time.

I will have to agree with Rivets. Attached is a picture of what I use. I used to use the putty knife on the left, but found the sharp corners make it harder to use. I found the thing on the right when I purchased my HRX. I think it is specifically made for mowers. I haven't had to use it much, though (at least on my HRX), because I have found that the grass I mow doesn't stick to the NeXite deck.

But there are certain products that are MADE for this. I am not personally recommending them, but I am just saying they are out there. I would read reviews and make sure it is OK for your mower:
Lawn Mower Non Stick Spray @ Mowers Direct.com - Lawn Mower Deck Sprays, Lawn Mower Spray Sheild, Lawn Mower Non Stick Sprays, Lawn Mower Deck Spray, Lawn Mower Spray Shields, Lawn Mower Non Stick Spray, Non Stick Spray, Non Stick Sprays.
