The handles on both sides are starting to have harder times going into reverse or forward which is VERY frustrating when you're trying to get through the yard chores quickly. I've scanned the manual and can't see anything that addresses lubrication, cleaning, etc. which might remedy the problem. And when I say "hard time going into reverse", i mean that it feels like it's hanging and getting stuck sometimes getting into reverse/forward.
Am I missing something obvious?
Every where that a shaft turns in a housing or visa versa you need some sort of lubrication.
I use dry lithium spray grease because with the straw you can blow it into tight places .
Toro use zinc castings because it is considered a self lubricating metal but it needs the odd bit of help
DO NOT USE WD40 it is not a lubricant .
There is also a damper on each arm that can go bad and they do like the odd drop of lubricant on the shaft
