Hey everyone!

I have a problem with this weed taking over my lawn. What is this weed and how do I get rid of it?

shurguy, Wish I could help you, but the stuff here is different. I feel for ya because I have severe weed problems here, red sorrel aka sheep sorrel is taking over. I have just applied lime to raise the pH. Try a college farm school for identification. Small consolation...I wish my yard looked that good.

That is a endangered marsh grass you are not allowed to do anything to it. Just kidding I don't know what it is

Pretty hard to tell from such a general photo. Looks a lot like plain old oxalis to me.

Sorry for the pic, I will have to take another more detailed one when I get home tonight.

The weed has these "spikey ball" looking things on the top of the plant. They aren't sharp and they dont stick to your clothes. I dont know if this helps you or not.

Here is the close up of the weed. It is the one with the spikey balls

I'm no expert, but from looking at this site, I think it's Common chickweed.

That looks like nut grass. The blades of it have a brighter green than the rest of the grass and it grows twice as fast.

Control Nutsedge

If it pulls out real easy then I would say it is nutsedge. If it is you will have to buy a spray dedicated to nutsedge. You can get it for around $6.
