I have a john deere d100 2011 with 50 hours on the engine and recently when I've been cutting and it has to climp a slight incline after the mower levels out it almost stalls and a thick cloud of smoke comes out then it fires back up full speed. It has new spark plug all filters new oil was changed start of summer and oil filter changed.

What is your definition of a slight incline? Sounds more than slight. Your mower is telling on you.

Engine could be sucking oil from the block vent hose or a blown head gasket.

Does your oil on the dipstick smell like fuel?

Does your oil dipstick blow off with a purpose while the engine is running? Crack it loose and see.

Oil level excessive? Is it on the full mark and not one mm over? Some engines, you what I call park the oil dipstick on the tube then check the level. Some engines you fully insert the dipstick then remove to check. Check your ENGINE manual for proper oil level checking.
