I like a peaceful backyard so it's very watery since I find the water to be serene. We have a couple of water fountains and the patio is decorated more like you'd find on a quiet Hawaiian patio. Do you have a theme for your yard?
My yard isn't themed, I do like a lot of water features though, unfortunately I don't have too much time on my hands to create one, I just mow the lawn and that's it.
I live in upstate New York so the water and the Hawaiian theme wouldn't work too well there (though I like the idea). So mostly I just have a wide variety of flower gardens and fruit trees. More of a New England theme I suppose.
I don't but my sister does. Hers is a zen like backyard, which is totally set up for her to be outside and relax. Everything about it has zen aspects. She loves it.
I love the idea of the Hawaiian theme. I kind of have the same thing with a couple of motorized waterfalls and a natural pond in my yard. I'm just missing the palm trees !
