I have a Honda GCV160 off of a pressure washer. it runs excellent and has very few hours on it.
i also i have a HRX217TDA mower with no engine. the orginal engine threw a rod.
what i am wondering, could i buy a new a crankshaft the Honda mower would use and put in the pressure washer engine?
they are both GCV160 engines.
I also have the throttle linkage and spring assembly from the mower, and it looks like i can swap it over the the pressure washer block.
Most pressure washer pump will fail before the motor fail.however new crankshaft cost about haft the motor plus you will need new gasket and lots of work

New crank for 160 is around $40 + or -
Yep, this pressure washer pump failed.

Is the Honda shaft just a shorter shaft? There are longer blade adapters that might put the blade at a usable depth, take some searching to find what you need.

The one one the pressure washer is not drilled and tapped. And too short yes.

Measure everything, if it all seems same, And shaft is same O.D. you will need to tap in some new threads.
lable the honda and put it on the shelf.
keep your eyes out for a pump with a clapped out engine so you get best value for it.
Find another engine for the mower.
