This can be quite a debate. Tecumseh was calling for 24 to one when they were still making that engine. So put 24 to one in it. All the ones I ever ran over the years that called for it got it and they ran a long time. I miss the Tecumseh two cycles. I always liked them.
I figured it may start quite a debate. Just picked up a carb kit for it and asked them. They said as long as its a synthetic or synthetic blend I could do 50:1 that seems awfully dry. I'd rather fowl plugs than burn up a motor
