can you swap riding lawnmower motors out with the same size motor but different model sears units

Anything is possible. There is a good change that it will take more then just bolting in the new one. you might have to change some things to fit unless it two of the same engine. Brand would mean more then size.

I have a John Deere lawnmower with Kawsaki motor FD590 and chaning over to a Kawaski mortor FD731. What will I need to change on the wiring? Anyone have a wire diagram on this FD731V motor?

I change this motor out and have no fire to the switch or gauge lights (oil, charge light, temp light) Will not crank.
