I purchased a Toro Super Recycler Lawn Mower. I'm not able to get the mower to free wheel when backing up. I've adjusted the Self Propelled Drive and the best I can get is an intermittent operation when backing up. Sometimes it free wheels, sometimes there is a heavy drag and sometimes the wheels will lock up. Without voiding the warranty do you have any other suggestions for me?
I would take it back to the dealer if it is still under warranty. Unit was not setup properly, cable too tight, belt not releasing, or wheel gears jamming. Any of these can cause the problem, especially if it is a steel deck.
