starter rewind in need of repair, possibly needing a new spring. how does the mechanism align with the mower pulley wheel? anyone? appreciate any help..

Not sure if you mean the old Suffolk Super Colt's that we have here in the UK, if so check the end's of the spring they do sometimes break off (arrowed)
