Just recently acquired an old ryobi 410r tiller with a weed eater engine. I've replaced the carb, fuel lines, filter and plug. It has good compression and spark. I've double checked and reset the fuel adjustments on the carb. When I try to start it fuel is leaking out of the carb and obviously will not start. Ive worked on small engines most of my life and never had one stump me like this. What am I not doing right?
The float is not stopping the fuel flow.
EPA regulations require overflows to be internal now days.

Getting the lines reversed on the carb or primer bulb, as well as a faulty primer bulb that allows backflow into the carb will also cause those issues.
