My Scag throttle is running wide open.... I have cleaned the carburator twice. First time it was running rough so I cleaned the carburator again and this time it runs wide open. New plugs, new gas lines, new air filter' new gas filter HELP! I'm out of ideas!!! Please....
Can you remove the throttle control wire from the carburetor and move the throttle plate/shaft by hand? If so, does it change RPM with the engine running? Did the throttle plate fall out when you worked on the carburetor? Is something hanging the throttle open?
Check all of the above items and report back with your findings.
