I have my dads old Stihl Woodboss at home, and it wont start. I havn't used it since early last summer and did put stabil in it at the end of summer, but even before that it was a pain to get started, I don't think dad every put stabil in it. Anyways, I assume the carb will need cleaned, I know the chain needs sharpened, it'll need a new spark plug and air filter, I'd like to replace the fuel lines, and see why it leaks chain oil all the time (I've been told this is common). My questions are, first, is there anything I'm missing? This chainsaw is about 29 or 30yrs old, and spent most of its life just sitting in its case in my dads shed, got used heavily when my parents built their house back in 83 to clear the property, but was only used periodically after that. My second question is, once its all back together, how do I go about adjusting the carb? I know what i'm doing on 4stroke stuff, but 2stroke has always scared me a little, I don't wanna lean it out to much and cause damage to the engine. And finally, is there an adjustement for the chain? I've never messed with chainsaws, so any help you guys can give me would be appreciated.
