Stihl BG 50 Blower Flat Nose

Hello fellow members,

I recently bought a BG 50 and wanted to purchase a flat nose for the end of the blower. After going to the place where I bought the blower I was disappointed to find out that there is not an attachment for this blower to make it flat at the end. I was wondering has anyone been able to find a flat end for this blower? If so could you let me know where you found it? Also if no one has found this attachment has anyone tried heating up the end of the tube to make it flat? I was thinking that might work but did not want to end up ruining my blower tube. Any help or advice is appreciated! Thanks for your help!

Brian.

That extension does not fit a BG 50.

They have the same part number in both ipls.

bg50ipl.pngList for the BG50.

Looks like it clicks into the straight extension #4, so you need to get that one too.

Thanks for that information!

Where did you get the prices for those pieces? I would like to order the parts.

Thanks again.

You have to get them at a Stihl dealer.
The prices I put up are for the Ohio/Ky region.

I just got off the phone with my dealer here in town and they told me those parts would not work in the BG 50. He told me I would have to use screws and duck tape to make it work. I'm so confused....

From the looks of your photo they should work.

Wonder if I should call another dealer??

Yes, tell him to look at the blowup on his partsmart. That is where I copied the page/pic from.

Did anyone try putting these parts together on a BG50?

Darn good advice. Convinced me NOT to restrict the blower tube.
