I have a 2008 Troy Bilt Pony 42" 17.5 hp. Have replaced the steering shaft assembly. The right turn is working properly but the left turn is still not fixed. I have some slight up and down movement in the shaft but it was there 4 yrs ago when I bought the mower. Any suggestions on what to do now?
Did You replace the bushing the post sits in. It is hex shaped bushing with a hole for the shaft to sit in. It just lifts right nothing to hold it in but the shaft sitting on it and the bolt and washer on the end of the shaft.
