My starter went bad and i wanted to know if you could bump/push start a riding lawnmower

I tried it with a snapper rear engine rider with no luck but that's a whole different setup. But never tried it with my Murray. Let me know if it works.

I am going to say no its just set up wrong for that.

I think it may be geared too low it won't spin the engine. But if you can get it to work I'd like to know.

I think the hard part would be to get the wheels to turn and not just skid. And I agree you would have to get up to maybe not a so safe speed

Like reynoldston said, not set up for power coming from the rear...
Belt drive has Idler pulleys only work with the engine supplying the power...
You would need an Old gear drive with an actual clutch between the trans and the engine to do that... :smile:KennyV

no I did not I have no more mowers that have a gear trans.
