I had read about the problem with FERRIS that starts ok but stalls when the hand brake is released. Quite a few remedies were suggested but I found that they were not successful. A few days after more annoying stalls, I had a good look again at the dipper switch on the seat frame. I thought that the switch itself was not sinking deep enough so I super glued a 2mm thick piece of plastic onto the bottom frame of the seat where the switch lands and hey presto! - problem solved. I had a few better qualified people than me work on this but none came up with a permanent solution which explained why it was a matter of luck if the switch depressed enough EVERY time, which it did not. I hope this may help with anyone else getting annoyed with this design fault.

Ran into this exact issue last year on new Kubota seat. Replacement seat was slightly different than the original and design wouldn't allow proper seat switch actiivation. For other issues sometimes people don't weigh enough to properly depress the seat.
