Starting problem

I have a Murray Select 13.5 hp, 40”cut, 5 speed.
Model # 405000x8f
Mfg 03/29/2005
Serial # 75074885 11 bs105
Engine will only fire with the kill wire disconnected from the coil.
After I disconnect the kill wire, the engine will start and run fine only problem I can’t get it to turn off using the key switch. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

So one of the 3 safety circuits is faulty
These all kill the engine by providing a ground contact to the wire you have just removed
The kill wires are all the yellow ones
The wiring diagram is in the back of the Owners manual which is a free download from Murray of from the manuals Library.com

Great, I will check that out and let you know the outcome. Just needed a new place to check. It might be a day or two because of the weather, but I will definitely report the outcome. Thanks bertsmobile1.
