Is there a big difference, or a difference between a Brigss and Stratton Solenoid Models 5409K and the BB Solenoid #108-0001-00 The looks the same, but want to make sure. The B&S I can pick up at Tractor Supply, and the BB, I have to order.

No difference other than possible amp rating. Most OEM solenoid are under rated amp wise. This why I use after market solenoids with a 200 amp rating instead of 80-100 rated ones.

A few years back briggs had to pay me warranty for replacing 5 of the 5409K solenoid due to failing after 3 starts.

And two of those were the same mower on the same day. Never left the shop between repairs.

I think I shipped him back to Amazon last week. Started with drive shaft yokes that had the splines machined to the wrong spec, and then broke my 12K trailer winch trying to winch a mower onto the trailer the same day.
