start engine without blade?

Can you start an engine without the blade on? Looking to see if my vibration in one mower will go away. Obviously watch the rev count, keep the revs down. Shouldn't hurt anything right? Just wouldn't have a blade on it.

I've started pushers without blades, it's kind of hard to as the flywheels are so light... But it can be done.

Yes it will start it but it will idle rough

Can be one heck of kickback at times so make sure your medical insurance is up-to-date. I had badly spring fingers and even a wrist over the years.

I will let you start my hopped up 92cc chainsaw with 175psi compression and advanced timing. Thought i broke my fingers once. Kinda like starting an old 125 Honda Elsinore. Start it like you mean it or you'll be sorry. ?
