Stalls when mowing

My kohler 7000 series (745) will start and run for a while then stalls out.I have replaced fuel filter,fuel lines, fuel regulator,spark plugs, battery, both ignition coils.Cleaner engine fins and bought new gas! Even drilled hole in gas cap to insure proper vapor. I am at a loss as to why this is happening though someone suggested running it with engine hood off?.
 
Have you checked fuel flow to carb? It needs to flow freely, not a trickle. You replaced filter and lines, but could have crud in the tank.
 
This is a twin, right? You say it is completely dying, not just one cylinder dropping out. Ask yourself, what are the things in common both cylinders share.

1) Any parts of safety switches or ignition switch
2) Kill system like oil sensor
3) Fuel system
4) fuel pump if it has one
5) system 12V+ or Ground

You have two coils and two sets of valves. It is possible either of those things could cause it, but it would be unlikely that it would happen suddenly. More likely one cylinder would drop out, or one would drop out then the other. I'd get a small thing like this with fuel in it and put some in the air cleaner base to see if it starts for a second with that.

Completely drain/siphon fuel tank and blow out if possible. Clean OEM carburetor and reinstall. Also check the items listed by sgkent.

I intend to check ignition wires this weekend since thats second time I have heard of it possibly going bad and try to examine all wires. It’s very frustrating to have to work on it constantly, thankfully we have zero turn cub cadet but it has Kawasaki engine! Thank you for the advice, kinda determined to find the problem.

I will check things again but after it cools off it starts up,contemplating running it with hood off and see how it performs. It’s about 9 or 10 years old but there has to be an answer just need to keep looking! Thank you for your suggestions.
