Hey friends, thank you for all of your contributions! Because of all of you I have been able to trouble shoot, diagnose, and modify/repair my lawnboy 10550.
My question is has anyone fitted their mower with Pneumatic or soft rubber tires?

I'm curious as to why you want softer tires.

My yard, underneath the grass is very rough. You wouldn't be able to see just from looking at it but when I'm behing the 10550, I must look like im trying to tame a little bronco because she's jumping all over the place.

Sounds more like it needs landscaping and sod put down. The grass is not hard; it is the condition of the ground.

Right... Like i said, "My yard, underneath the grass is very rough". If my grass was hard, I think I'd have bigger problems. I wasn't asking how to or how much it would be to put down sod on my 1/2 acre.

Uhmmm, I'd guess that softer tires will just cause you to scalp the dickens out of the lawn. Maybe try aerating on a rainy day and then rolling it to level things a bit . . . . . jmo
