We are expected to get some snow (coating --> 4 inches) this evening and overnight. It is with a nor' easter that is moving up the coast. It will affect the same areas Superstorm Sandy devastated, with lots of rain, wind, and snow. I hope I can break out the snow blower!

On the 5:30 news they changed the forecast....now we will get a coating --> 1 inch, and we are close to getting nothing at all! :smiley_aafz:

This is weird. I just talked to my brother who is on the other side of town. He said there is like 3 inches on the ground. It has only rained here. I havnt seen any snow.

Yesterday we got our first snow of the season.....it was only a coating, but it froze over a little bit overnight and made some black ice. You know it didn't snow much when there is no snow under a tree with NO LEAVES, which is what happened!

It snowed lightly here all day yesterday. Nothing on the pavement and just a coating on the grass. Now that I am pretty much done with cleanups I really want it to snow.

I want it to snow SOOOO bad, also, but the temperature is going to be in the upper 50's next week....with lows around 40. C'mon, just some snow!!

this is all im getting lawn mower plow mounting bracket | eBay

Im going to try a couple local power equipment stores to see what they have to say. I have a yard machines lawn mower that the plow would fit on but i cant find the mounting bracket for that either. I want to put it on the craftsman though because its more of a tractor. i dont have the mower deck on it and its got a 20hp engine not a 12.5 like the yard machines. i also heard that the yard machines frame likes to bend when you plow with them so i dont know what im going to do about it. I dont exactly want to spend 250 bucks on a plow for my mower you know?

Ya i guess just keep looking around and see what you find. Once you get it mounted how are you going to lift it? Electric winch or manual lift?

Its going to be a manual lift. I want to plow some driveways and save up for a snow blower front end. Now that will be cool.

Ya its supposed to be a warmer weekend. I live in RI so we will have similar weather. What is the plow on? If its on your tractor then would you mind posting some pics to see how its mounted? That would be greatly appreciated.

The plow is on an atv. I use an electric winch to lift it. I do driveways. My friend has a john deere tractor that he has a snowblower for. It works great especially in the deep snow.

I would also recommend tire chains. With my friends mower he can barely move in the snow without tire chains on. But with them on he rarely gets stuck.

ATV's are really cool. the same guy I got my plow from has a 2011 yamaha grizzly 550cc and hes got a plow a winch and its so cool. I plowed his driveway with it one time and it was like the snow wasnt even there.
